Shrimp exports in January 2022 reached 81,872 tons (180.4 million pounds), for a value of US$ 532.43 million dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 42% in volume and 85% in value.
Export prices in February 2022 reached $6.50/kg, $1.48/kg more than in February of the previous one.

China is the first commercial destination for Ecuadorian shrimp that reached 43,672 tons in February 2022, 128% more in volume than in February of the previous year when exports reached 19,135 tons, in addition, export values tripled, reaching US$ 273.37 million dollars, compared to the US$ 91.36 million dollars exported in February 2021.
The average export prices to China in February 2022 reached US$6.26/kg, with $1.49/kg higher than the prices of February 2021, when they reached US$4.77/kg.
