Ministerial Agreement No. MPCEIP-SRP-2021-0241-A.
In accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Agreement No. MPCEIP-SRP-2021-0241-A, the closure period will be applied as follows, in consideration of the value of the TRN registered in the respective “Tonnage Certificates” issued by the Competent Authority, as established by the ordinance measure:
• From December 8, 2021, to January 24, 2022, vessels equipped with purse seines that catch small pelagic fish with the following capacities: 36 TRN to 70 TRN, 71 TRN to 104 TRN, and vessels larger than 105 TRN, must remain in port.
• From February 9 to March 26, 2022, vessels provided with purse seines that catch small pelagic fish with capacities from 00 TRN to 35 TRN, and fishing gear called “beach hammocks” must remain in port.
SANCTIONS:
Violators will be sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of the Organic Law for the Development of Aquaculture and Fishing or placed under the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office and sanctioned in accordance with the Ecuadorian Comprehensive Organic Criminal Code.
